Thinking about attempting CEED for MDes — need some insight from people pursuing MDes at IITs
I’ve been thinking about writing the CEED exam and possibly pursuing a Master of Design (MDes), but I’m still not fully sure if it’s something I genuinely want to do long-term.
I would really appreciate it if someone currently pursuing MDes, especially at IITs, could share some insight into how the degree actually helps in terms of career opportunities, placements, exposure, and the kind of work/projects you usually do during the course.
Even if I continue in my current engineering field and eventually take up a job in software or tech, do you think it’s still worth trying CEED just to explore this path?
Tbh, I started looking into design because I realized I may not completely see myself doing a traditional software job forever. A part of me wants to step out of my comfort zone and try something different, and that’s what made me curious about CEED and MDes in the first place.
Would really appreciate honest insights from people who’ve gone through this journey.
