From what I can tell it's a type of elm, but I don't know which kind. It's somewhere around 40-60ft tall absolutely towers over the surrounding buildings.

Edit: Seems like the an answer is still unclear. Let me know anything else it would be helpful to photograph or measure. Also I edited the height. Looking at it from a distance it's a little over twice the height of the building.
