Beyoncé - Lemonade

I'd just like to first say that my musical tastes are wide and varied. I came up via the New Wave of British heavy metal, which led me down the path towards black metal and eventually funeral doom. I played trumpet in a jazz quartet from my teens in to my late 20's, while indulging in the likes of Dungeon Family, Maxwell, Sade, Musiq Soulchild, Raheem Devaughn, All of the soul classics.... Bobby Womack, Chi Lites, Al Green, etc

With that being said, one of my teenage employees asked me yesterday if I'd ever heard the Lemonade album by Beyonce. I had not. At Random, I picked the track "Dont Hurt Yourself" and Holy Shit. Here I am 3 listens through the whole album this afternoon and I truly can't get enough

Not sure the relevance in why I'm posting this - I just needed to tell somebody I guess ,😂. Lyrically and compositionally this is one of the strongest albums I've ever heard.

Thanks for listening to my rant. Sincerely,

A 38 year old straight white male with an ever expanding appreciation for all music.

UPDATE:

THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT DISCUSSION HERE, I REALLY WASN'T SURE ABOUT POSTING MY OPINION AT ALL
