POSSIBLE FIXES for the new secure attestation/MAA error after updating season 4 (PC PROBLEM)
I was getting this error prior to troubleshooting, and it seems I have fixed the problem. With the new season update, Activision is cracking down on exploiters and introduced a stricter security verification process called Microsoft Azure Attestation (MAA) as apart of the already present Ricochet Anti-Cheat. Please ensure you have checked all of these boxes in order to be able to run properly again. If this still doesn't help, it may be a hardware issue.
- Run the Official COD Security check to ensure your pc meets the requirements to run COD (download here; scroll down until you see "Download the Call of Duty Secure Attestation Wizard")
- Verify Secure boot by pressing Windows + R, and typing "msinfo32." Ensure BIOS mode = UEFI, and Secure boot State = On.
- Verify TPM by pressing Windows + R, and typing "tpm.msc", and check to see that TPM = ready for use, and the specification version = 2.0
- Verify game files through steam: Library --> Call of Duty --> Properties --> Installed Files --> Verify Intergrity of game files. (Look up tutorial online for any other cod launchers, I am only aware of instructions for steam.)
- (WHAT WORKED FOR ME) Check COD Broker Files: Navigate to your COD installed folder, and look for "CODBrokerInstaller.exe" and "enrollaik.exe" (easier way to search is by using ctrl + F in the folder). Right click "CODBrokerInstaller.exe" and run as administrator. It will pop up and close almost instantly, which is normal. Then try to launch cod again, and see if that fixed your problem. If not, do the same with "enrollaik.exe."
