Premium is pretty much pay-to-win for people who play daily games
In daily games, you are allowed to use the opening explorer database. This feature is limited for people who don't pay for premium, giving those who do pay a significant advantage. I used to have a subscription, but cancelled it due to the new policies. I believe it's the only unfair aspect of premium vs free, but for those of us who primarily play daily tournaments, it's really discouraging. I now have to go input the current position on Lichess' opening database, which is essentially the same, but having to input the position every time, especially when I have 20 games in progress, is a real pain.
I think that the opening explorer option for rated games should be available to everybody or nobody. It's completely unfair the way it is currently. I would just switch entirely to Lichess, but I don't like their equivalent to daily games.
Anyway, rant over. I seriously doubt it will happen, but if any chesscom employees see this and can run it up the ladder, that would be cool.
