Pensamientos sobre mi itinererio
Hello everyone,
I’ve planned a trip to Honduras from August 3 to 19. I’m really excited about this experience but I have a lot of questions. Sorry for my mistakes in Spanish; I need to practice to prepare.
Below is my itinerary. Please let me know what you think. Is it realistic? How can I use the local buses to travel between the places I want to see (I’m a student and it’s important for me to save money)? With my level of Spanish, is it safe for me to travel to your country? Am I forgetting any important destinations?
I collect a poetry book and a fiction book from all the countries I visit. Which ones from Honduras do you recommend?
August 4-5: Comayagua
August 5-7: Tegucigalpa
August 5 to visit the city
August 6 to visit Santa Lucia, Valle de Angeles or Parque Nacional La Tigra (which is the best?)
August 7-9: La Esperanza
August 9-12: Copan
August 12-16: Utila
- Is it realistic to arrive in Utila the same day I leave Copan or do I need to stay a night in La Ceiba/Tela before heading to Utila? If you had to stay, would you prefer La Ceiba or Tela?
- Is it possible to visit the Cayos Cochinos in August when there are many storms?
August 16-18: Parque Nacional Pico Bonito
August 18-19: Return to Comayagua and say goodbye to Honduras
