International Schools in Jeddah that would pay Egyptians well.
Hello. I’m an Egyptian English teacher with eight years of experience, and I earned my CELTA certificate this year. I’ve been working at an international school in Jeddah for the past two years.
Unfortunately, the school has refused to give me a raise for a couple of reasons. Long story short, they hired me while I was still in Egypt and seemed to think they “did me a favor.” On top of that, I’ve spoken up more than once about how students are allowed to get away with almost everything, which has apparently earned me the reputation of being a “troublemaker.”
I’m currently looking for a better opportunity. However, I’ve noticed that many schools — even some well-known ones — are offering less than 10K SAR for non-native speakers.
Does anyone have recommendations for reputable schools that offer better salaries and a more professional work environment? I really don’t want to spend another year at my current school.
