Still can’t believe I met Mark Meer, the voice of Commander Shepard!
I know this photo is technically from the Outlast booth, but believe me, it was during the Canadian Game Awards pre-show :D
Of course, I knew Mark would be there. I was working on the Canadian Game Awards as a social media coordinator, so I already knew who the hosts were. But knowing something on paper is very different from actually standing backstage in the green room and meeting the voice of Commander Shepard in person!!!
A few years ago, I couldn’t have imagined moving to Canada, being part of an event like this and suddenly meeting someone connected to one of the most iconic characters in gaming.
It felt like a small reminder that life can move in directions you genuinely could not predict. One moment I was doing my job, helping cover the event and running around with social media tasks and the next, I was backstage meeting Mark Meer!! Still feels surreal...
