Hostel Warden Beat Students to Delete Evidence In SISTec Bhopal

I study at SISTEC Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal, and some insane shit happened in our hostel today.

A student got caught stealing stuff from multiple rooms. When students checked his room, there were tons of stolen items stacked there like headphones, personal belongings, and other random stuff from different students.

Students recorded videos of everything and informed the hostel warden.

At first, the warden literally brushed it off and said the guy probably has some “mental illness” related to stealing. Like bro wtf?

But after seeing the videos, he suddenly got scared that this whole thing would ruin the college’s image. Later, after his seniors apparently got to know about the incident, he completely lost it and came to the hostel raging.

He started beating students to force them to delete the videos.

I’m not exaggerating. I literally have proof of the warden hitting students like a maniac. Slaps, punches, abusing students, threatening them, and forcing them to delete evidence. Students were scared as hell.

Now, a lot of us genuinely do not feel safe in the hostel anymore.

I don’t want to reveal my identity because obviously our degree and internal stuff are in the college’s hands and nobody wants retaliation.

I seriously need advice:

  • What legal action can be taken against a hostel warden for physically assaulting students?
  • How can evidence be kept safe without exposing who recorded it?
  • Are there any student rights groups/lawyers / NGOs in Bhopal or India that can help?
  • Has anyone dealt with something like this before?

This whole thing is beyond messed up.

Hostel Warden Allegedly Beat Students to Delete Evidence ( SERIOUS)

I’m a student at SISTEC, Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal.

Today, a student was caught stealing many items, including mine, from his room. We recorded a video of the stolen goods and reported it to the warden. Instead of acting on it, he dismissed it as a “mental illness” and didn’t take it seriously. After seeing the video, he panicked about the college’s reputation and violently assaulted students, hitting us, using slippers and fists, and forced us to delete the evidence. I don’t feel safe here anymore. Staying in the hostel with this violent and insensible warden is not something a student would pay for...

I am asking for legal help and support from the Bhopal community. If anyone has resources—a lawyer, a student rights group, or any advice—please help us stay safe and hold this warden accountable.
