Hi everyone! I’m planning to drive my 2024 Kona EV cross-country when we move from LA back to the East Coast this summer. I tested the Hyundai-provided Tesla adapter at a Supercharger in Santa Monica a few weeks ago, and it worked perfectly.

But on a drive up to San Francisco over Memorial Day weekend, we stopped in Bakersfield and couldn’t get the Tesla chargers there to work at all. I’m hoping it was just a random glitch, but if I can’t consistently rely on the Tesla network, I’m definitely a little more nervous about doing the full cross-country drive.

So I have a couple questions:

1. Has anyone here done a cross-country drive in a Kona EV? How did it go?
2. If you’ve been using the Tesla adapter at Superchargers, has it been reliable for you overall?
