ferret (M7) has been keeping one of his eyes shut. It’s a little watery when it’s open? Any idea what might have caused this/has anyone else’s ferret had this problem?

Found this on my ferret’s elbow/shoulder area(he’s 7). Any idea what this is? It’s a perturbing bump. His partner passed away a few months ago so he isn’t with any other animals. I took this photo right after I found it, I’ve since cleaned it and it doesn’t seem to be causing him any immediate pain or discomfort.
