Good sources for learning on my own
Hello everyone.
I come from a Data Analysis with Excel background, and I am thinking about pivoting towards Econometrics.
I know it is a big step, but I am planning to do it on my own, giving myself a 5 years window to achieve it. Not sure how realistic it is. Planning to invest 1-2 hours during weekdays. 8 on Saturdays and 1-3 on Sundays.
Learning Excel, channels like Leila Gharani's were very instrumental. Are there similar ones around this subject? For example, channels to learn the basics (math/statistics), channels for learning econometrics itself, channels to learn tools (R/Stata)...?
What about guides, manuals, books? Not sure if the subject has changed much over the years, and if recommendations need to be up to date, or any classic manual would work?
Or nowadays AI is the best way to do this, and ask it my questions? If this is the case, I know that AI tools are pretty similar in knowledge base, and it depends more on the quality of the questions, but have you found one that works best for econometrics?
Thanks in advance.
