Thinking about land surveying in Ontario

I’m 35 and looking to switch careers. I’ve worked factory jobs my whole life and I’m done with being indoors all day.

I’m interested in construction and being outside, and land surveying came up as a possible career. I’m considering a 2-year program nearby.

Before I commit, I want the honest truth:

Is land surveying actually worth getting into right now, or is it oversaturated / hard to break into after school?

What’s the reality for entry-level jobs in southern Ontario? And what should I expect that schools don’t tell you?

No sugarcoating—just real-world experience appreciated.
