Why does an opponent say “good shot” before I even take my shot? Scenario: I’m going for a tough shot, let my opponent know my intention, and they say “good shot” before I even shoot. Why is this?

Update: Thank you everyone for your comments! This was a tournament situation but I've also heard it while playing Tap league. I agree that it was likely a "Good Call" or "Good Shot choice" type comment, and do not feel like the two people who said this during the tournament were trying to shark (one of them I know well and she wouldn't shark, the other one is a highly respected player in the pool community). I appreciate everyone weighing in!
