One Wish Willow only works if someone close to you died. It worked on Bear because his cat died. It worked on Ian because Sarah died.

If you can see on the film's version of reddit, some people are calling it a scam because it didn't worked on their end. While there's this one comment that her mother(?) wished to looked young and it work. Maybe her mom wish to looked younger because her partner (the commenter's dad) died and she is looking for another partner.
