I am moving to LA from Portland and just looked at place in Westlake near Beverly and Rampart. It looked nice and pretty inexpensive compared to other places I looked - which seems like a warning sign.

The apartment was nice; streets were clean and it was really quiet actually. I went there kind of early in morning though. I think around 9:00 AM, so I don’t know if it changes at night.

Is it safe to walk around there at night?

Are there a lot of roaches?

I’ll have a secured parking spot, but are car break-ins a big problem?
