Super odd repair experience.

Super odd repair experience.

On the right are my awesome vidda pros from quite a few years ago. They’ve been awesome pants, have had hundred of wears. They’ve done many jobs and I have certainly gotten my moneys worth out of them years ago. They’ve gotten many holes, a pocket nearly tore off, there’s rips and missing hardware for the cinches on the bottom at the hems. One day I wore them into my local fjallraven store and they said they could send them out for repair. I thought wow that’s awesome, and it’s free? Even better and not anything I expected. I get them shipped off right away, waited 8 weeks, just got the pants back and there’s nothing that’s been done to them. Every hole is still there, tears are still there, missing snaps still missing. Tearing stitches are still tearing. I was even told by an associate they’d re wax them which definitely didn’t happen either. Seems like they just held onto them for a few weeks and shipped them back. I didn’t expect anything and again - I’ve worn the hell out of them and was okay with their current state. It was just so odd that they did nothing to them. I can’t find a note stating they were denied repair or anything and the guys at the store were certain they’d come back in way better shape. Has anyone’s repair experience gone like this? I didn’t expect anything but it was weird that it was actually nothing.

Are these the easiest cars to work on or what?

Blew the transmission/torque converter Saturday morning. Found a marketplace AW4 for dirt cheap. Clean fluid, known lower miles. Pulled the original in 2 hours. Then went to work. Came back from work , pulled an all nighter and got the replacement in by Sunday morning and got to work. Hardest part was reinstalling the long arms . Original aw4 lasted roughly 540,000 KMs only ever needing solenoids and fluid
