The end of the first line

Hey there, comrades

Can't keep it to myself, today was the last day of my 1st line chemo.

The last few CTs were rather good, and the next one is on Monday, I have big expectations for it. It's been tough, the thing grew despite pre-surgery FLOT, and surgery was itself a challenge, but after it and 13 cycles in total, I'm expecting life will get better gradually.

Fuck cancer. Keep fighting, folks, stay strong, we're in this shit together.

Any advice?

Hi all

I am a 33 y.o. male, diagnosed with adenocarcinoma last year, currently approaching the end of 1st line chemo (FOLFOX). I made it through FLOT IV last winter, and had a surgery (subtotal gastrectomy) in February.

Although it was surprisingly easy to live through most of it, despite being a IV St., the last couple of weeks things are getting out of control. I feel constant heaviness, sometimes pain to the left side of my abdomen, below the ribs. It's hard to eat now, even light food makes me feel bad, sometimes coming out, and none of my doctors come with a good theory (maybe except for the gastroenterologist, who guessed these might be adhesions). Chemotherapist advised to do colonoscopy, surgeons said they did not cut anything in this area, except for drainage.

I'm pretty sure many people here have had similar experiences, so maybe someone can tell me what it turned out to be? Cuz I'm confused with what I should do first: laparoscopic surgery, gastroscopy or colonoscopy.

My hopes are for remission for everyone who faced this.

P.S. English is not my native, and I had a somehow prolonged pause in practicing it, so I am sorry for any mistakes TWIMC.
