Online place to connect people

Random thoughts business ideas

People in Accra, how are you actually meeting new people these days? I’ve been having conversations with a few people lately about how difficult it can be to meet someone new outside your existing social circle.
For people who are single, where do you normally meet people? Through friends, events, social media, church, work, nightlife, or just randomly? And how safe are you with such people…. Do you just connect with them genuinely?
Also, would you be comfortable meeting someone new specifically to do an activity together, like getting food, seeing a movie, going bowling or attending an event?
It got me thinking about whether a simple platform or community built around this could actually work in Accra.
Any software developers or tech people here who have experience building apps or websites like this? I’d be interested in hearing how difficult something like this would be to build and what you think would be needed to get a basic version running.
Not advertising anything, just exploring the idea and curious to hear perspectives from both users and people in tech.

People in Accra, Kumasi or other regions how are you actually meeting new people these days? I’ve been having conversations with a few people both ladies and men lately about how difficult it can be to meet someone new outside your existing social circle.

Market research

I’ve been telling myself for a long time that I wanted to travel to the northern part of Ghana, especially Tamale, and I finally found the courage to do it.
I genuinely believe not every opportunity has to be in Accra. Every region has its own needs, and I feel there’s a lot of untapped potential here—products that are in demand, things that can be supplied, or business opportunities worth exploring.
If you’re from Tamale, currently live here, or have spent time here before, I’d really appreciate any insights you can share. What products are in high demand? What opportunities do you think people overlook? It’s my first time here, and I honestly don’t know anyone yet, so any guidance would mean a lot.
Thank you in advance. I’m here to learn, explore, and understand the market better.

I posed this on Reddit a few days ago and honestly this got more attention than I thought it would. I was just posting something’s that’s been crossing my mind for a while and wanted to know if others think this way or feel this way. Got lots of messages and to my surprise most people think that’s easy money n reasonable and some earn more than…. People actually believe there’s no money in the country as well 😂…while others think I’m just another scammer. All I can say is if you’re earning anything between 5-25k monthly in ghana you’re doing well and I need friends like that please 🤝we need people like that to also voice out and encourage more others who think it’s a miracle or luck to know it’s possible and it doesn’t have to be of age or anything. You just have to believe in yourself and start something learn about it, create value and be consistent with it.…. Anyone who’ has travelled to any country outside of Gh knows if you’re serious in ghana you can make mad money, I believe we’re lazy and arrogant sometimes to even start something even when we know the right thing…. There’s bad customer services everywhere, most business don’t know basic internet knowledge, we all see it everyday.. wherever there’s opportunity there’s mad money to be made . Also You definitely have to learn a skill, learn under someone to be able to identify opportunities till you get good and can do your own stuff… there’s free information on basically how to do anything in this world on the internet and it’s cheaper than it has ever been . If you’ve not started anything or don’t have any skills you honestly don’t deserve anything! There’s nothing like free money anywhere and you can’t do anything about it. You can complain all you want. And if you’re a man it’s actually your duty to do something for yourself… you owe it ti yourself. I believe if we all share small insights about this or talk about our problems we can all be a little financially okay. My dm is opened. We can still create a page and teach other about money/ business / wealth creation and anything to do with mindset change.

I don’t believe Ghana is really hard and I can tell by the little effort people I know including myself put in just to get by and by that I mean ( making 10k Ghc or more monthly) by simply reselling.. this seems normal to me and a few people I know. Now I truly believe business should be solving people’s problems and making money off of it. Ghanaians don’t like sharing ideas but like competing each other lowkey. If you’re here and you understand business and want to create wealth or build a solid positive relationship around just say hi, we can create a group and start from there. I strongly believe together we can do greater things. It’s almost impossible doing things alone.
