At my wits end - ferritin

I had “suboptimal” ferritin basically my whole life with ongoing supplements. Until my hair was falling out and I could barely walk. At levels of 30ish. Supplements got me to 50ish. I could walk again but generally not great. Supplements also gave me significant gastrointestinal issues.

Gynae team laughed at me when I asked for an infusion despite the fact that even with supplements I couldn’t get past 50.

I was also under the care of a gastro team who took me seriously, noted I couldn’t absorb and was losing significant blood every month. Changed my life with an infusion 18 months ago.

Well the exhaustion, insomnia, chills, chronic infections are back. I just had 3 courses of antibiotics. I am falling asleep in work. I am forgetting words and struggling with my job because I can’t remember conversations. I have put on weight because I am exhausted. Can’t stop eating sugar. My cycle has extended by a week (I assume because my body doesn’t have enough in it to function). My ferritin is 40 which the NHS classifies as “normal” even though the reality is below 80 is suboptimal and below 50 you feel like boiled shite. My b12 is also low but classified as “normal”. I use oral spray supplements. It’s 40 with supplements.

I can’t cope with feeling like this. I am about to start my period so I am going to be even worse. And I know the NHS will do nothing.

Open to advice - particularly if it’s niche.
