My First Plant Progress

My company gave out plants on earth day and I took this Haworthia Marumiana knowing nothing about succulents. Some of my peers teased the poor guy but I learned how to give it some TLC. this guy put me into the hobby, and now I have a bunch of succulents.

The original stem bloomed and eventually I cut it off. It grew a new inflorescence and bloomed beautifully. it's also growing its first pup! I'm happy for it, but now I have to plan to repot it so it has space for a cluster.

New Plant Dad!

Heyyo, new plant Dad here! This started on earth day when my company gave out succulents and I took a very sad but cute one. I have never taken care of plants before in my life and had no idea succulents had such a wide range. But after nursing a tiny Marumiana back to health, I tripped and fell into a pool of succulent love. So... my girl and I bought more, but I'm the owner and technician of the shelf space.

We have purchased plants from various places being a local hobbyist, Lowe's, Home Depot, Mountain Crest Gardens, and even one little guy rescued from Aldi. I had to do a lot of research just to get myself up to speed but it's been a worthwhile journey. Many of the plants were purchased with issues like being etiolated, over-watered, or even my Minima had a little rot. But they are all recovering nicely and I optimize their placements on the shelf by measuring the PPFD. the bottom shelf is different as it has 3 Barrina T8 instead of 2 like the others.

I have another shipment of plants coming tomorrow which I'm excited about. If anyone has any questions or wants other progress photos or identification, whatever it may be, feel free to ask!

Anyways, I'm glad to be here and I've loved seeing other people's collections!
