What to do in this situation?
This situation happens to me a fair bit on 2 lane dual carriageways. Up ahead, there is a slow moving vehicle overtaking another slow moving vehicle, leaving a queue of vehicles behind that want to overtake, and an empty left hand lane. Now often a car comes from behind, or leaves the right hand lane to undertake, and join the queue further up.
In this situation I sometimes wonder if i should change to the right hand lane and undertake, and join the queue further forward, because at the moment I'm not overtaking anyone, and the left lane is free.
I'm also not sure but it does seem like a bit of a dick move to undertake in this way, we all understand whats happening here, and merging up ahead probably slows everything down more, and so i dont love it when people undertake and join in front of me.
I usually just wait in the queue on the right. But it does seem odd.
