Wifi Won't Connect Network unavailable Lenovo Legion 5 (2024) - Both Wi-Fi and Ethernet drop completely after 30-40 minutes. Router restart temporarily fixes it. Need help!
Hey everyone,
I’ve run into a really bizarre issue with my Lenovo Legion 5 (2024) over the last couple of days.
Out of nowhere, my laptop stops seeing my home Wi-Fi network. What's even stranger is that both Wi-Fi and Ethernet (cable) stop working simultaneously. However, it can still detect my phone's mobile hotspot just fine.
The only temporary fix is to reboot the laptop and power-cycle my router. After doing that, the home Wi-Fi and Ethernet appear again and work perfectly... but only for about 30 to 40 minutes. Then they vanish or disconnect all over again.
What I’ve tried so far:
I uninstalled the network drivers to do a clean reinstall. But after trying to reinstall the Ethernet driver, it didn't even show up properly in the system until I restarted the router again.
A technician from my ISP came over to check the router. He connected his own laptop, and everything worked flawlessly on his end without any drops. He suggested that my laptop's drivers might be failing to process the signal properly after a while.
Since the tech couldn't fix it, Reddit is my last hope. Has anyone faced a similar issue where both wired and wireless connections die together on a newer Legion model? Could it be a Windows power management issue, or is my motherboard's network controller dying?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
