Refused Two Times Even in Can+

Refused Two Times Even in Can+

Hi guys!
I’ve had 2 Canadian TRV refusals even after holding US long term B1/B2 visa both times.

The refusal points in the first refusal were elaborate and I overcame each and every point and showed significant change in circumstances (clarified and backed each and every refusal concern with evidence) since the first application. But in my second, even after doing all this and submitting an air tight application, I got refused within 4 days and I feel it’s auto-refusal by Chinook.

I am going to wait for 2 years at least to apply again but I wanted some guidance from you guys as to WHAT CHANGE I can show in my 3rd application to maximise my approval chances. Country of Citizenship : Pakistan 🇵🇰

The reason for refusal this time are:

  1. Insufficient family ties outside canada
  2. Purpose of visit not consistent with temporary stay

I am 25M unmarried so reason 1. makes sense but for 2. l don't know why I got it or was it generic/auto-refusal by chinook, because my purpose was short-term tourism for 8 days supported by day by day itinerary and all the reservations.
How can I overcome these refusal points? I don't plan to marry anytime soon. I am unemployed right now but will be employed in near future but I don't think that's needed as it wouldn't show an overcome of refusal point as it wasn't even raised i.e my unemployment

Has anyone obtained a TRV after 2 visit visa refusals?

Hi everyone,

I’m curious if anyone here has successfully obtained a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) after having 2 previous refusals for a Canadian TRV. I have been refused twice even after having a US B1/B/ visa. They didn’t ask for any bank statements so I didn’t provide which led to my refusals (What’s your thought on this?) Also,

Specifically:

For Canada – how did your next application go after 2 refusals?
For other countries – have you or anyone you know applied successfully after 2 refusals from canada ? how big of a red flag is it when we declare 2-3 refusals on other countries’ application form?

I’d love to hear personal experiences, tips, or insights on improving approval chances.
Thanks in advance!

Wish ex-IRCC officers offered visit visa prep like US firms do

Hi guys !

Curious why there are always lawyers and immigration consultants affiliated with IRCC, but I rarely see former visa officers offering services—like the US has with firms such as Argo Visa which has a team full of ex visa officers providing one on one consultations. Are there any ex-officers who actually processed visit visa applications helping with file preparation, or am I just unaware? Having that firsthand decision-making experience would feel far more valuable.

Reconsideration Request- Received an Email

Hi guys!
I raised a webform after my recent refusal of TRV, and after 4-5 days I got this email by IRCC.

Has anyone applied for reconsideration here and have got same response ? I remember I had attached a document (reconsideration request) with the overall form but it says I might not have attached it which is absurd. I haven’t received any other email confirming reception of my document as-well.

Is this a generic email ? Do I Ignore this or raise a webform again ?

How much do previous visa refusals affect future travel profile?

I’ve had 2 Canadian visitor visa refusals and 1 US visitor visa refusal, and was later approved for a multiple-entry long-term US visa.

I wanted to understand how much these past refusals affect my future travel profile. Since all prior refusals must be disclosed, do they create a significantly negative impression overall, or is that mostly offset by future travel history?

Also, for those who have been refused before — how many times were you refused, and did it affect your confidence or outcomes in future visa applications for other countries?

2nd TRV Refusal, Need Help

Hi everyone,
I’m a Pakistani applicant and just received my second Canadian TRV refusal. I’m honestly confused because after my first refusal, I tried to correct and strengthen my application in every possible way before reapplying.

My profile:
25-year-old final-year MBBS student from Pakistan
Valid US B1/B2 visa until 2030
Previously traveled to the US for clinical electives and returned compliantly
Sufficient bank statement (6 months stable balance - mentioned the source in cover letter i.e monthly allowance by my family - saved up as personal savings)
Detailed tourism itinerary for a 1-week Canada trip + onward US travel (4days)
mandatory house job/internship obligations in Pakistan
Family based in Pakistan (submitted FRC + father’s business documents)
No immigration violations or overstays anywhere

After my first Canadian refusal, I specifically improved:
stronger and more detailed cover letter,
complete itinerary with bookings,
clearer explanation of temporary purpose,
proof of family ties in Pakistan,
explanation of my medical career path and mandatory internship,
stronger financial documentation, family’s property and assets
applying from Pakistan instead of while visiting the US (last time refusal notes specifically mentioned establishment outside country of residence concern)
and I also now had completed US travel with full compliance.
I genuinely tried to address every weakness from the first refusal.

Refusal reasons (ODN) this time:
“The applicant does not have significant family ties outside Canada.”
“The purpose of the applicant’s visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay.”
“I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the authorized stay.”

What confuses me is that I DID provide:
family registration certificate,
proof that my parents are well established in Pakistan,
ongoing medical career pathway,
mandatory internship obligations,
and detailed return plans.

The refusal feels extremely generic and doesn’t seem to engage with the actual evidence submitted.
At this point I’m devastated and want to know :

  1. What to do next, reconsideration would help?

2. Is having 2 canadian and 1 US refusals on your overall profile is VERY BAD on my profile for future travel purposes ?

Hi, I wanna apply for Canadian visa for short-term tourism purpose. I am a final year medical student from pakistan who wants to travel to the US but while filling out the IRCC form there comes a section in which you have to fill out your job status.

There’s NO option of student , it is forcing me to select ‘Unemployed’. As medical students don’t usually work while their degree is so long, this is totally unfair to show unemployed even after having enough money in your bank account to support your tourism.

Any advice would be appreciated !
