How is cash culture in Germany?
Just had a weird interaction with someone regarding handing off cash in public. I sold an iPhone to an asian guy who grew up here in Germany. We did the transaction in a coffee shop and he handed his payment to me like we were doing something illegal. He seemed like he was looking out for other people that might be looking at him and gave me the money very secretively. Why could this be?
Other than that, he seemed pretty nice. We talked for a while because we came from the same Asian country. I just thought to add this context that he didn’t seem weird at all. Just weird about the handing off the cash part. 😅
