Cauda equina syndrome suspicion
Hey, I am 28 male living in UK (186cm/6”2) I have a Cauda Equina Syndrome suspicion and private doctors are saying I shouldn’t be walking with such MRI results and should have a surgery asap but the hospital doctor seeing my MRI says its not that serious and I am ok to go back to physical job and it should go away with some exercises and meds at home. MRI shows I have a disc herniation at L5-S1, at L4-L5 there is a prolapsed interverbal disc with a 9mm sequestrated fragment causing compression of the thecal sac and narrowing of the lateral recesses of the spinal canal - sagiatal diameter 4mm.
Not sure what should I do, a found a clinic abroad that I could afford for a private surgery but I don’t know who is right and wether or not I should have a surgery, trying to find an answer for past 7 months but every doctor says a different thing.
I am taking naproxen since January, co-codamol(codeine) since mid february and amitryptyline since April per my healthcare practice instructions.
I would really appreciate neurosurgeons advice because my private doctor insists I fight with NHS doctors to push me for a surgery.
