For example, I’m really happy with the vip creatures. They are by far some of the only dinosaurs that can take on hybrids and superhybrids.

The fact that I have to grind hard as hell for cool looking dinosaurs (tournament creatures) and then having a super rare hybrid be as strong as them feels useless. I appreciate that ludia seems to at least try with the new updates, but I don’t care for bosses, super hybrids or whatever. I care about DINOSAURS. Thats why I prefer to play the game as a collector. My goal is to max out every creature from commons all the way to the top, not that it will ever happen, but it keeps the game fun. Recently I gave in and fused every hybrid I could like Rajastega, Ankylodocus and Stegoceratops. Because they are some of the OG hybrids I wanted when I started playing this game.

I wish the tourney’s took less time to hatch. That would make this game so much more playable.

But at least the have made them more accessible. Like the latest diploceraspis unlock.

Furthermore, I wish the game would focus more on park building too. It should reward nice parks, the missions obviously make you buy buildings and decorations, which are sometimes pointless. Logically speaking, you want the best decorations around the best dinosaurs to produce coin. Said coin is then spent on battles. Which generate some resources. Or you spend them on the food production which gives far too little food. So little that I regularly trade DNA for food. Because I save up dna only for creatures I will buy far later in game. I’d rather grind for normal creatures than buy em.

I know I am not the only one. This is just a vent post for me.

I’ve been playing jwtg for, I think, a total of 8 years. 3/4 accounts. Am now level 71, have unlocked multiple tourney legendaries and am satisfied with the game as it is right now. Ludia had definitely improved as rare creatures drop far more often in packs.

Recently, one of my favourite games shut down out of nowhere, Horus Heresy Legions. Most of you will probably not know what that is, and you don’t need to. It shut down out of nowhere. And it makes me afraid for this game because I’ve been hearing and seeing that ludia is apparantly short on money.

This game, for me personally, is fun enough. I like maxing my creatures from top to bottom. Its just fun to do. But the game had become so repetitive. Especially with the carnivores. EVERYTHING has the T-rex. Raptor or JPB baryonyx sound. It makes it so boring, and it doesn’t motivate me at all to level up some creatures. Even the Scorpios Rex….. sigh.

But I’m getting off track. I really do enjoy this game….

But I miss the soul Jurassic Park had. I miss the jungle aesthetic. I miss the old characters. I miss the sounds, the opening, the old aquatic and cenozoic parks. I can vividly remember that game being the first mobile game I ever really played. I wish ludia would revive it, or make a new and improved version. Because a JWTG style park builder with Jurassic World/Park combined could work so well.

But oh well. I’m glad with what we have now. I hope this game survives our economy. I wish I could open my old JPB park one more time and enjoy it.
