Is this connection ok?
16’ span stair stringers. Looking for a sanity check on this top connection detail.
Contractor isn’t fully finished yet, but I’m wondering whether the gaps at the top cut/stringer connection are acceptable structurally or if this looks off.
The stairs are also supported mid-span with 6x6 posts and a 2x10 beam about halfway down.
Mostly concerned about:
the visible gaps/notching at the top and
whether enough bearing/support exists there
