Sea Esta I RIP

We have vacationed in Dewey Beach in the late spring off season since our kids were babies and toddlers. We aren't rich, but could afford a week or 10 days on the off season at Sea Esta I. Plus they allowed pets. Now that it's gone, we don't have an alternate in mind. Any tips for close to the beach and pet friendly? We weren't able to go early this year, but later in June is a possibility. Working around college schedules and summer camps.

Thanks!

Mobile, Alabama

I'm going to be in Mobile, and am wondering if I'm going to have any luck sea glass hunting. Any beaches in particular I should try? I know I'm going to have to drive a little. That's not going to be a problem.
