Need advice how to open the socket for a magic Eye. There is a resistor noted inside the socket. How do you open to verify the value and replace?
The magic eye is working but real dim.
I can see the filament and very light green glow.

May, Like these. No pun intended. Purchased these perennials from a nearby Menr’ds garden center. Zone 4 and have my first bloom. I put a cage around it as not sure if rabbits will eat it in one day.
Need some advice on removing the metal core frame on a large transformer. Pulled out of some 277V mercury lamps I have. The magnet wire seems ideal for making a loop antenna for a vintage radio reception. Radio is recapped and has AM and shortwave bands.
Will grinding the two weld on each end which is seamed under the weld be sufficient? I’m hoping to use a hand grinder with a 3/16 grinding wheel.
Also what antenna is suggested for the shortwave bands?
