Fraud in name of Delhivery

Today I experienced something concerning related to an online order and its delivery process.

I had placed an order through a website, and their delivery partner was Delhivery.

Before my actual package was even out for delivery, I received a suspicious call from someone claiming to be associated with an order. The caller asked me to confirm my location and mentioned an order that I had never placed.

When I questioned it, they said:
“If it’s the wrong order, cancel it and share the OTP.”

That immediately raised red flags.

What made this even more concerning was that when I checked the tracking/app interface, I could actually see:
- the genuine order I had placed
- another unfamiliar order marked “in transit”

The strange part?

The second order had:
- a completely different name
- a different address
- but my phone number attached to it

Now, one possibility is that someone may have accidentally entered my number while placing their order.

But if that were the case, shouldn’t I have still received:
- an SMS confirmation?
- an email?
- some form of order communication?

I received absolutely nothing for that second order.

This is just my personal suspicion/assumption, not an accusation — but situations like this naturally make customers question whether there are gaps in internal systems, verification processes, or misuse happening somewhere within the delivery/order ecosystem.

Because how can an order appear linked to my number without any standard communication reaching me?

Thankfully, I did not share any OTP or personal information.

Sharing this as a reminder:
Never share OTPs with anyone — even if they claim to be from a delivery company or support team.

Would genuinely like to know if others have experienced something similar recently.
