Hi all.

Our mortgage application is going into BOI and Haven through our broker tomorrow, we are sale agreed on a new build, have the deposit and required fees there.

Broker seems happy enough with our application, I’m just wondering what’s a realistic goal to have in mind, house won’t be ready till late December most likely January.

From applying to AIP to loan offer. How long should this take and how long did it take yous ?

I’ve heard from some people finding a house is the longest part, so considering we have a deposit down on a new build hopefully it won’t take that long

Just wondering what peoples experience buying housing was like. If you built and didn’t own the land how was it and how much etc, if you were given the land how much was it to build etc, and for people who bought pre owned houses, how much was it for what you’ve bought,

Me and my partner make 100k so can afford a decent enough mortgage with buying capacity of 440k, but with house prices now, we can’t even afford some new builds, this country is crazy. How do we feel about the current market ?

If my mother in law took out a loan and gave it to us as a gift for our deposit on the mortgage would this be allowed, it would be a gift and we’d have the letter to prove it. I know your allowed to give gifts but if it was a loan recently taken out would this change things ?

Just wanting to reach out and ask a question, I was recently in with my GP and was talking about weight loss injections, im being recommended Wegovy and Mounjaro, the choice is mine, the only difference is price, im told by them wegovy is at a scale of 120-160 euro a month where Mounjaro is 250-420 a month, is this money for mounjaro worth the excess of 250 a month ? id obviously prefer the cheaper injection but if the results are night and day i can definitely go with Mounjaro,

Im trying to save for a mortgage with my partner so having the extra coin at the end of the month would be great, if anyone has any experience with this i would love to hear how you guys got on!
