
Advice please
I'm 5 months into NSM and really enjoying it, still experimenting and dropping the odd sub-T as I adjust especially as I've had 4 half marathons this year.
Looking to see if I'm training in the right ballpark.
Garmin watch has my lactate threshold at 157bpm and pace 4:05/km
I ran a PB half marathon today in just over 1:28 and 7.5 minutes better than my lifetime best in 2025. My heart rate averaged 153bpm and highest 158bpm today.
Above is a 7 x 1km sub-T with warm up and cool down. I'm using a 5k time of 19 minutes to get the times from the books. There is a variation in the times above but an average of 4:05 is roughly in line with the book of 4:02 for 3 minutes intervals. I'll be looking to even my pace out the more I do it.
Is there anything obvious I should be changing, couple months short of hitting 60 so don't have too much time to get faster?😂
