Southern Westfjords info site
Full disclosure: I manage the campsite of Tálknafjörður. I needed a website to host info about a hiking trail system I am building, which ended up growing a bit larger than I expected. The website is still work in progress, but I wanted to put it up regardless for people do access it for the summer.
One of my favourite things to do is sending travelers off with a few more details than they would have had otherwise. But after having a baby recently i fear i won't have as much time for morning chats with coffee. So the website is meant to bridge that gap.
On the site you'll find info on some of the attractions of the area, services and ideas for itineraries in the region. I'll be adding sights to the site once i have permission from land owners, so not to step on anyones toes. I've linked a substack page to there for quick journal entries about the day to day life in the area, as well as an instagram account.
The Bifröst hiking trail page is already paying off, with friends and neighbours telling me they are making use of it. I'm generally happy with it but I'd love to hear anyones input on it, as i am no web designer (I used Claude for the code).
