did anyone notice 26 update is taking more resource. my laptop used to never heat for basic task. I'm feeling like its going towards windows.

Hi all, I’m on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (GNOME, Wayland by default). I want:

• 3‑finger swipe left/right = app switching (Alt+Tab)
• 4‑finger swipe left/right = workspace switching

Problem: 3‑finger swipe triggers app switching AND GNOME’s workspace/overview at the same time (overlap).

What I tried:

• Touchégg (removed)
• Fusuma + ydotool (removed)
• Disabled gesture-related GNOME extensions
• Disabled workspace keybindings via gsettings
• Forced Xorg via custom.conf (WaylandEnable=false)

I removed all third‑party gesture tools and still can’t get 3‑finger app switching without overlap. What’s the most stable way to do this on GNOME? Any extension or native setting that cleanly disables GNOME 3‑finger gestures?
