So I got this tarantula in December 9th 2025 (4-5cm). He (unsexed) was fed on the 20th with a tiny mealworm and then again around the 10th of January and then we decided not to feed him as his abdomen is twice the size of his carapace. It’s been around 5 months since his last feed and he’s still not moulted, my question is do we give in and attempt to feed him or leave him. He’s constantly closing over his burrow to then make a new one a week later.
Husbandry
His substrate is cocobrick, mixed with leaf litter and spider substrate mix from an expo.
His fully dried out now besides a corner where the water will is overfilled
His enclosure is around 22c
Humidity 45-50%
