Compatibility inquiry
I’m looking to get 2 ereaders and would like some advice/input from the experts.
Theoretically, I want a pocket sized reader that I can keep on my person for reading during the work day (lunch, breaks, travel, etc.) and a second larger/full-sized reader for when I’m home and in the mood to read.
What I’m looking for most importantly is some sort of cross compatibility where I could be mid read during the day on the pocket sized device, get home, and pick up where I left off on the larger device seamlessly.
I’m not super knowledgeable about these devices as I’ve always been a physical book person, the only think I really know for sure outside of what I’ve already described is no Amazon. I refuse to participate in their ad wall circus and pay to play shenanigans.
Money is not a major concern, I’m willing to spend money on the right system for what I’m seeking (and overall quality/value), but I want something that I own and do not have to pay a monthly subscription to use without Amazon or some other bs. I want to be able to purchase my books, download them onto my device/account, and enjoy. I don’t want to lose my content if I decide to not have some sort of subscription.
Lastly, if possible, I would like the pocket sized device to be useable for note taking if possible. Something I can use during a meeting to jot down quick notes/tasks for later reference. Not looking to write my autobiography on the device, just basic notes, reminders, so on and so forth.
I am an Apple ecosystem person currently, so iPhone, iPads, MacBooks, AirPods, Apple Watch, Mac desktop, the whole 9. Extra credit if there’s any cross compatibility there was well, like MagSafe compatibility, usbc charging, or even MagSafe charging capability (if that’s exists? If not, it should).
Let me know what you guys think I should start setting my eyes on! I appreciate all input and help in advance! Thank you!!!
