Hey, I’m booking flights rn for a combined China+Japan trip and for budgeting reasons, I’d booked a round trip into Tokyo with a flight into Shanghai the day after arrival rather than just into Shanghai and out from Tokyo because it was saving $500. That was yesterday. Today the round flight I was booking on payday (today) jumped from $1050 to $1650+. I’ve only ever booked a trip to Japan 6 months in advance in February and the flight was around $900 and I’m going in a much busier time this year (late Sept - late October). Does anyone have experience with flight prices during this time? I’m thinking of just scrapping the round trip and buying the individual flights, but if there’s ANY possibility of the price dropping, I’d much rather do that.

Trying to decide where to go for soup dumplings. I’ve been to Lin before and I really love it, but nothing else on their menu. Seen a lot of people say that it’s the best in Austin and I’m going for my birthday so I don’t really know if I should try something new just to be disappointed. Places I’ve seen also rated highly are Julie’s, 1618, Qi, Mian and Bao, and Dumpling World.
