Blank sensitivity

Does anyone notice a big difference in sensitivity when using cheaper blanks vs more expensive ones? For example would a 30 dollar blank like a CRB color series be in the same ballpark as a 200 dollar NFC X-ray blank or is it a night and day difference. Also how much of it depends on the components used? Ex. Carbon fiber grips and compressed carbon reel seat vs EVA grips and a graphite reel seat? Trying to figure out if the more expensive blanks are really worth the money or not. Thanks everyone!

BFS rod specs

Hey everyone I’m wanting to get into BFS fishing. I picked up a few of the small 3/16 oz Megabass karashis and am going to start with those and small swimbaits and topwaters but would like to get into some finesse plastics as well. I build my own rods so have been trying to decide what power and length would be best for what I’m wanting to do. I’ve been thinking a light power vs ultralight might be best and something in that 6’6-7’0 length. I’m pretty tall so I usually use a 7’3 even when I’m just casting around the bank. What have you guys found to be the best specs? Thanks in advance for the help, feel free to recommend any cool lures I should try as I’m diving into BFS, wanting to use it for clear water spotted bass mostly!

BFS build

Hey everyone. Wanting to make a bait finnesse setup, primarily to throw 3/16 ounce Megabass karashis but also want to try out some real small plastics and other cool little Topwater lures. I was looking at the NFC p700 blank but its top end rating is 3/16 ounce and I don’t want to overpower the blank. Anyone have any experience with this blank of care to share their own BFS build, or something that works good for those lures in the Karashi realm? Thanks everyone
