Few days ago I posted about my divorce experience in India while living in Canada. Wasn't expecting that kind of response honestly. So many of you went through the exact same thing — lawyer disappeared after taking money, timezone made everything worse, always the last to know what was happening in your own case.
Several people in the comments suggested looking into LegalKart and Vakilsearch.
Haven't tried either yet.
Before I put money or trust into anything I want to hear from people who've actually been there. Not a quick 15 minute consultation — I mean a real ongoing case. Divorce. Property dispute. Inheritance fight. Something where you actually needed someone in your corner for months.
Specifically what I want to know:
— Did communication actually hold up once the case was running or did it go quiet like every other time?
— Was there any real transparency about what was happening or were you still chasing updates?
— Did the timezone problem actually get solved or just promised?
— Did fees stay what they quoted?
If either of these platforms genuinely helped someone in this situation I want to know. And if they didn't — I want to know that too.
Just tired of going in blind.
