Moving from the Midwest
I’ve lived in a small town for almost my entire life and it has been absolutely awful, minimum wage is still $7.25. We have so many methheads that will steal your stuff in broad daylight, they don’t take care of our parks (the one thing we had besides a McDonalds and dollar general ), no public transportation, very republican, our mayor is rumored to be cheating on his wife and got canceled for it. This small town stuff is not fun, but the one thing keeping me here is my family and I was just wondering if anybody had any advice on how to handle that because I cannot stand it here, but I do love my family and I don’t want to leave them, but I genuinely think I would regret it if I stayed here for the rest of my life 😔 has any one else had a tough time with this?
