Soreness Persisting After 4 Days
I took my first shot last Friday and since then my thigh muscle has been sore. I injected about midway up my thigh and towards the side. While there is no redness I have experienced some swelling and a little warmth. I’m pretty active and busy so I haven’t had much time to rest or let it heal after my injection.
The muscle itself is sore when I flex it while the surrounding area doesn’t hurt except for the slight swelling around the injection site. The swelling is probably no larger than a quarter and isn’t noticeable unless you really touch it. My entire vastus lateralis is also sore but I also work like 70+ hours a week so my legs are usually sore
I‘ll admit despite researching a lot beforehand I was still very nervous and tense despite getting in a good relaxed position. I also decided to use needles that come with a syringe already so I used the same needle for drawing and injection (25 gauge needle) I made sure to get the air out before injection but I did go very slow when inserting the needle just because I was so nervous. I also went very fast when injecting. It hurt a little at first but got more sore the next few days. I also prepped with alcohol pads on my leg, the needle itself, and my vial.
I honestly just want advice on what to do or to see if others have had similar experiences. Also to get tips for my next sho.
