I’m thinking of picking up the Bergtagen G-1000 jacket as an outer shell for skiing (mostly in the Northeast). I’m trying to get away from using Gore-Tex and similar materials and that’s why the G-1000 jacket caught my eye.

Does anyone here have experience using this as their ski jacket? If so, how did it perform and what kind of insulation did you pair it with? My main hesitation is that this jacket would not be as windproof/warm since it is not Gore-Tex or the like.
