Absolutely dreadful framerate for about a minute after raid start [Video]
Extremely new player here. I've been racking my brain on why my game seems to just completely crap the bed for the first minute of every raid I do. The game drops to sub 5 fps for a solid minute before instantly jumping back to 60, which makes it nearly impossible to move, nevermind actually play. This happens with both Scav and PMC on every map I have tried.
I have fiddled with almost every setting I could, and all I have managed to achieve is the game straight up crashing after the frames got too low.
My system specs are more than up to par for running the game on near minimal graphics settings, which I am in the video.
System Specs:
Intel i7-14700K CPU
Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB VRAM
32 GB RAM
I've heard there's problems with 16GB's and under, but I have 32, and a friend of mine who plays the game has very similar specs to my own and can run the game fine.
This particular clip, I died about 4 seconds later after the clip ended as I was ambushed while trying to get my bearings after the frames jumped back up.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what fixed it?
EDIT: I have fixed it, I put my solution in the comments but I'll summarise what I THINK fixed it here.
I cleared the cache and then increased the size of my page file. Also messed with vsync and stuff, but I think it's the former two that did it. Thank you everyone.
