Health check and general guidance
Hi all!
I have been following the sub for some time, learned few things here and there and I finally take the courage to create a thread about my Citrus tree.
Around 5 months ago I bought this Citrus (seller told me it was around 2y/o), as I really love the smell & fruits. My intention is to make it grow and in few years move it to a garden instead of a pot (I live in an apartment for now).
Since this is my first tree, I would like to ask you guys, the experts, if you can notice anything wrong going on. Like a health check.
Some useful information on how I handle my citrus tree:
- I water it around 2-3x a week and every Sunday I water with fertilizer (following the structions)
- I move it to the balcony during the day/night and before I sleep I usually bring it back inside
- It gets direct sunlight starting from 3pm until 7pm~
- Around 2 months ago, it flowered and I cut them out, as instructed by the seller
- I live in Portugal, if that matters
I would like to also ask taking into considerations the images I have attached, where should I prune and why, so I can learn and do it by myself later and I would like to knowwhat are these little burnt spots/holes (Image Ref 6) and if I should be concerned about it.
In sum, I would like to know if I should handle it differently, what I am doing wrong and how to improve taking care of it.
