Seroma/Abscess
I’m 3 weeks post op tummy tuck and lipo 360, and about a few days ago started to noticed the t junction was not healing properly and messaged my doctor with photos and was advised to use a cream to circulate blood flow. Then last night as I was changing out the dressing the area looked worst, with yellow discharge around the area and liquid coming out. I went to ER and it was a seroma that turned into abscess. The ER PS had to cut open the incisions, manually drain out the fluid, then flushed with sterile, and pack the wound. I’m told to pack the wound twice a day and have a follow up appointment with a wound nurse in 3 days.
Im feeling so down and so afraid how this will heal. has anyone had a similar experience and what was your healing process and outcome?
