Alms house eviction - vunerable adult - England

My dad is 69 years old, retired and lives as a licencee in an alms house.

He is a vulnerable adult and an alcoholic who has recently relapsed and ended up in hospital unable to walk.

His flat at the alms house has been suffering from sagging floors for some years and he has repeatedly requested for it to be fixed. After his latest hospitalisation the alms house decided to evict him and told us verbally its because of the floorboards. He is still in hospital and was served his eviction notice in his hospital bed. They have given him until the 5th of June to move out. He currently can't walk and doesn't have a lot of money to find elsewhere quickly.

They are refusing to extend or consider an appeal. The eviction notice is placing blame on him for not being able to keep the flat up to their standards, but verbally they have admitted its a structural fault. My sister has written a letter asking for an extension whilst he is in hospital but no response as of yet.

I'm currently moving house (down sizing) and my siblings can't accommodate him either as they live in upper floor flats with no lifts.

The hospital and his sobriety programme are trying to find him housing. They are trying to find him a social worker but very little progress has been made. The hospital assured us that they wouldn't discharge him into homelessness but today have said they will be releasing him soon.

Is there anything that we can do to get him somewhere quickly? Is there anything we can do to hurry up finding a social worker? Is there anything we can do to get him on the council list as a priority? Can community hospitals really just send him on his way knowing that he will be homeless?

Is there anything we can do to slow down the eviction and complain about the charities process?

I really don't know what to do here.
