What great books came out before romantasy got so popular?
I just recently started the genre and feel like the same current books are constanty recommended around here. What came out 10+ years ago that was great but not talked about since it came out too early?
Bonus points if there's no love triangles or miscommunication as a plot point. I enjoy some spice but plot is more important than romance
Not sure who made the second profile but I haven't heard back from Psychology Today about taking it down
I can’t take more shadow daddies. What books have MMCs like Ridoc or Renfris and are still spicy? I hate love triangles unless they become polycules of some kind, prefer to avoid miscommunication for plot reasons, and I’m kind of down for FMC to be the shadow daddy.
I’m still just starting the romantasy genre and have a reading list that I go through based on what I can borrow from the library. They only have the super popular ones it seems so figuring out which books I actually want to spend money on.
Only one I can guess that may be recommended that I’ve already read is Saints of Steel.
