Anyone else not buy a single textbook the whole year?

1L here and my school has a free copy in the library of every textbook, so at the beginning of the semester I just spent like an hour or two taking pictures of every page of the book for my classes and then just using that.

I was always confused by people who still bought the books in my classes because it’s not like they didn’t know about it, and since most of the textbook was just court case excerpts, I would also just use West law when I was in class to reference it.
