My response to the State of the County.
The State of the County address felt less like a local report and more like a self-congratulatory sugar-coated victory lap. Instead of tackling the immediate, kitchen-table issues facing our residents, it was hyper-focused on state-level politics—important, yes—but so disconnected from what's happening at our doorstep.
When we win in August, these events will look a lot different. They will reflect the thoughts of our residents—the ones who actually understand the true condition of our county.
